Hosta tardiana 'Halcyon'
Plantain Lily
Boasting foliage of heavily ribbed, frosty blue-green, 'Halcyon' is a surperb grower whose thick leaves are pointed and offer good slug resistance. One of the best and most popular of the blue hosta cultivars. This variety of Hosta, also known as Funkia or Plantain Lily, has emerging compact lavendar-blue bell flowers in mid-summer and will attract hummingbirds to your shade garden. A slower growing hosta, 'Halcyon' retains blue leaf color longer than most other blue hostas and is a dependable and versatile perennial requiring little care.
