Hosta fortunei 'Queen Josephine'

Plantain Lily

'Queen Josephine' hosta, also known as Plantain Lily or Funkia, has very glossy heart-shaped leaves with dark green centers and wide yellow margins that mature white. In mid to late summer, upright stems of funnel-shaped flowers of light purple appear high above the foliage. The substantial leaves of 'Queen Josephine' are slug-resistant.

The genus name Hosta is after the Austrian physician & botanist Nicholas Host (1761-1834).
