Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise'
Phlox, Tall Garden
Phlox paniculata 'Blue Paradise' is a must-have old-fashioned perennial. Originating from eastern North America, Garden Phlox has an upright, bushy habit and produces enormously tall stems of colorful flowers in midsummer. The individual flowers are five-petaled, tubular and are pale lavender-blue when they first open and darken as they age. The fragrant clove-scented blooms will continue to appear into late summer and early fall if deadheaded, and are highly attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.
Phlox, Tall Garden Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Plant garden phlox in sites with full to partial sun and fertile, evenly moist soil with average to good drainage. Most garden phlox are highly susceptible to powdery mildew, but 'Blue Paradise' is resistant.
