Achillea millefolium 'Paprika'
Yarrow
'Paprika' Yarrow offers tight, flat clusters of intense red flowers with bright yellow centers. The fern-like, aromatic, medium-green foliage has a strong, spicy aroma which persists when used in dry arrangements. This achillea is a vigorous grower that will quickly fill in to outcompete weeds. 'Paprika' is one of the most floriferous of the achillea cultivars, supplying a generous dose of bright red in early summer borders.
Additional:
Like all achilleas, 'Paprika' is great for cut bouquets and also can be used as a dried flower. The abundant flat flower clusters are irresistable to butterflies.
Yarrow Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Planting in afternoon shade will slow the fading a bit. Paprika continues to bloom all summer with regular deadheading. It is best used in the perennial border where it enjoys enriched soil and regular watering. An easy and rewarding production plant, it has very few pest or pathogen problems.
