Hemerocallis 'Black-eyed Stella'

Like the ever-popular 'Stella de Oro' series, Black-eyed Stella daylily is a highly ornamental dwarf that is everblooming but with exceptional tolerance for winter cold and brutal summer heat. This perennial has neat clumps of bright green leaves that appear in mid-spring. Black-eyed Stella's flowers of gold have a wide band of magenta and a nearly black eye deep in the throat. The blooms first appear in late spring, are mildly fragrant and attractive to many pollinators.

Daylilies are tough, cold and drought tolerant, long lived plants. Pinch off spent flowers, trim stems when blooms are finished.
