Hemerocallis 'Black-eyed Stella'
Daylily
Like the ever-popular 'Stella de Oro' series, Black-eyed Stella daylily is a highly ornamental dwarf that is everblooming but with exceptional tolerance for winter cold and brutal summer heat. This perennial has neat clumps of bright green leaves that appear in mid-spring. Black-eyed Stella's flowers of gold have a wide band of magenta and a nearly black eye deep in the throat. The blooms first appear in late spring, are mildly fragrant and attractive to many pollinators.
Daylily Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Daylilies are tough, cold and drought tolerant, long lived plants. Pinch off spent flowers, trim stems when blooms are finished.
