In midsummer, the heavy blooming ‘Purple de Oro’ daylily offers ruffled, lavender-purple flowers with lighter midribs, edges and gold throats. 'Purple de Oro' is tremendously vigorous and heat and drought tolerant. Rising from compact clumps of arching, linear, blade-like leaves, Purple do Oro's flower is classified as a miniature and blooms for one day. Enjoy this tried and true ornamental in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.
