Dianthus deltoides 'Zing Rose'

Pinks, Maiden

Dianthus 'Zing Rose' offers showy, deep rose-red blooms with serrated edges that cover the dark green, evergreen foliage all summer long. This variety of Dianthus, also known as Maiden Pinks, will partially close its petals at dusk. In cooler weather, the leaves of 'Zing Rose' turn purple-red and revert back to green in the spring. A magnet to butterflies, 'Zing Rose' is at home cascading over walls and rocks.

Pinks, Maiden Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Trim spent flowers to keep plant neat and attractive. Foliage is semi-evergreen, so do not cut back before winter. Has a spicy, clove-like fragrance. Division in the spring, every few years, is highly recommended.
