Hosta 'June'

Plantain Lily

Hosta 'June' has pointed leaves that boast a distinct and beautiful variegation. This variety of Hosta, also known as Funkia or Plantain Lily, exhibits leaves of heavy substance that are wide and streaked with blue-green margins with chartreuse centers. With the coming of summer, the foliage changes to a medium light gold with more sun exposure, but will stay chartreuse if its home is in the shade. The bell-shaped, pale lavender flowers of 'June' appear in mid to late summer. A sport of the very popular blue hosta 'Halcyon'.
