Scabiosa columbaria 'Butterfly Blue'
Pincushion Flower
'Butterfly Blue' Pincushion Flower produces a profusion of feathery, lavender-blue, pincushion-like flowers that last from early summer into fall with regular deadheading. As with other varieties of Scabiosa columbaria, Butterfly Blue's blooms sit atop wirey stems which hover over the short mound of fern-like foliage. They make excellent cut flowers and are highly attractive to butterflies. One of the longest flowering perennials!
