Grass, Festuca glauca 'Boulder Blue'
Grass, Blue Fescue
Versatile and pretty, festuca glauca 'Boulder Blue' or blue fescue is a semi-evergreen ornamental grass that is similar to the 'Elijah Blue' variety, but is shorter in height with taller flower stalks. 'Boulder Blue' is known for its thin, spikey blades of intense powder blue that stay in small rounded clumps. In the summer it produces many erect stems of blue-green wheat-like flowers that mature to a soft tan color. Prefering dryer conditions, 'Bloulder Blue' is perfect for rock gardens and edging, making a striking addition to beds.
