Baptisia 'Solar Flare Prairieblues'

False Indigo

Baptisia is a large native shrub-like perennial that is very long-lived and drought resistant. 'Solar Flare' features unique flowers that open lemon yellow and gradually darken to orange as the flowers age down the stem. Both flower colors are present on striking foot-long stems! Vigorous grower with attractive blue-green foliage.

False Indigo Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. Tolerates drought and poor soils. Over time, plants form slowly expanding clumps with deep and extensive root systems, and should not be disturbed once established.
