Coreopsis 'Mercury Rising' is a true red variety in the Big Bang™ series. This coreopsis actually spreads, remaining just 15 to 18 inches high in bloom. The eye-catching velvety wine-red blooms have a small, frilly, bright golden-yellow center. 'Mercury Rising' maintains color throughout the growing season and forms medium mounding clumps with narrow green foliage. Freely branching for continuous summer bloom. Mildew-free, it attracts butterflies and bees.

Very popular and floriferous, providing lots of summer color in the perennial border. Coreopsis prefers full sun and well-drained soil.
