A Cone-Fections™ double-flowered Coneflower, 'Hot Papaya' has drooping ray petals surrounding a pompom center of red-orange that does not fade. Ideal for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers, echinacea are excellent for cutting. Stems are strong to hold its big bloom. Coneflowers begin blooming in midsummer and continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed, but leave the last of the blooms on the stems and the seedheads will be visited by songbirds in winter. 'Hot Papaya' is very fragrant and a magnet for butterflies!
